On Friday night in Park restaurant special celebration took place. That night annual awards
for achievements in arts, popularizing and protecting culture in Inowrocław were handed in.
Kujawy Branch of "Bastion" Society was among awarded people and organizations. Society's
chairman -Marcin Mościcki received the award from town's President Ryszard Brejza and his
Deputy Wojciech Piniewski. They also expressed their appreciation for Society's work connected
with popularization of historical knowledge about Inowrocław and the region as wellas with
taking up initiatives aimed at preserving fortifications and military objects for the next
generations

On 15th September 2007 Inowrocław witnessed an unprecedented field exhibition which was held
inside the WW II air raid shelter."Codename Arbeitsamt", which was created and prepared by
Bastion Society's members, attracted a lot of the town's inhabitants and many others. Among
numerous guests there was Inowrocław s President Ryszard Brejza and Inowrocław's Prefect
Tadeusz Majewski. Inside the shelter visitors could participate in the first public showing
of documentary newsreels found by "Bastion" Society which presented Inowrocław during Nazi
occupation.

At 14th July 2007 Inowrocław hosted the Motorcycles' Rally "Na Soli" organized by the Rider's
Club Inowrocław and OSiR. In GALERIA-VIDEO we are presenting a video account of the event
prepared by "Bastion" Society.

For the last two weeks there have been works carried out in Nowe District in order to eradicate
the inconvenient remains of last century's Socialist architecture. District's landscape has
been deprived of characteristic houses which used to serve as emergency exits for the
shelters placed underneath the blocks of flats. The lack of those special structures will touch
those generations of people who have been growing up beside them for all these years. Join the
