Historical & Tourist Society Bastion is
registered scientific association acting all over
the country. It has been researching the history
of fortifications and working on their
preservation. Additionally, it determines which
of the fortifications can be adapted for widely
understood tourist purposes. Field research, as
well as frequent camps organized by the
society, serve to make the fortifications a
popular tourist attraction and at the same time
to preserve it for the future generations as
cultural heritage. Bastion society has its

patronizes tourist routes in Wa³cz and
Konewka. The society cooperates with a
number of national and scientific institutions
in Poland and abroad which enhances
promoting of different regions and, in result,
developing tourism in local environments.
